According to the new Inbound Market Profile of overseas travelers who visited a cultural-heritage site during their trip to the U.S. in 2024, 60.1% visit a national park/monument, 50.3% visit an art gallery/museum, and 47% visit a historical location. The report by the National Travel & Tourism Office, International Trade Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce, also states that more than a quarter (25.6%) visit a cultural/ethnic heritage site, and 23.9% attend a concert/play/musical.
