Meet Danielle Lewis

Danielle Lewis, Sustainable Tourism Professional

Danielle Lewis has over fifteen years of professional experience in consumer trends analysis and relationship management. As a graduate of the Master of Tourism Administration program with a concentration in Sustainable Tourism Management from George Washington University, Danielle has worked as the Program Coordinator for The National Blacks in Travel and Tourism Collaborative and as the Project Manager for the Indigenous Tourism Collaborative of the Americas.

 

Danielle has worked as a Community Development Specialist for Planeterra, assisting community-based organizations with building their tourism capacities. Before joining Planeterra, Danielle worked on various projects for the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), North Dakota Tribal Tourism, and the International Institute of Tourism Studies (IITS) at GWU. She collaborates with Hargrove International on various cultural heritage tourism projects, including researching African American heritage for Kingsland, Georgia, as a destination education strategy and on the research and interpretation of the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Corridor in New York.
