Montreal Geotourism MapGuide

Seeking a marketing strategy to showcase its historic district and also other distinctive neighborhoods, this world-class city adopted National Geographic's Geotourism Principles, signed its Charter and invited residents to contribute content for a visitor mapguide with local recommendations about what to see and do, where to eat and shop. Hargrove served as project manager and editor for the Montreal MapGuide, working with the local advisory committee to prioritize content, organize a children's art competition, and work with writers and historians to create a visitor guide produced by city leaders and residents. Texas Heritage Trails LLC Business Plan

This award winning program from the Lone Star State recognized the need to set a course for fiscal sustainability and independence. Eight members of the state heritage trail program joined together to form a limited liability corporation (LLC) and began identifying potential products and programs to generate revenue for trails' development, marketing and management. Hargrove led a team of research and marketing experts to investigate various opportunities, determine feasibility of potential products and services, and create an actionable business plan with development schedule and criteria, marketing plan, operations and management, investment sources, and financial pro forma. 92nd Street Y Capital Campaign

The 92nd Street Y, a premier cultural institution and community center in New York City, engaged John Bauser in 2011 to assess their ability to launch a $150 million campaign and to assemble a comprehensive and actionable campaign plan. Bauser evaluated 92 Y's current fundraising capacity, infrastructure and effectiveness, as well as the organization's ability to launch, sustain and complete the proposed campaign. He conducted an in-depth analysis of 92Y's current donor pool, provided guidance to 92Y staff as they drafted the case statement for the campaign and then tested the case statement during confidential interviews with key 92Y stakeholders. Kansas Byways Management & Marketing Plan

With a team of research, planning and marketing experts, HTC Partners parent company Hargrove International helped the state of Kansas update the policies, procedures and promotional strategies to strengthen the byway program and its brand promise. The year-long planning project included a series of byway leader workshops, community meetings, and stakeholder interviews to define priorities in organization, interpretation, product development, marketing and funding to sustain and enhance the byway program. Tourism Planning & Development for the Appalachian Regional Commission

HTC Partners and its parent company, Hargrove International, has worked with the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) on various projects for the 13-state region since 2004. Our most relevant project includes researching a variety of Civil War stories from the ARC states spanning from New York to Mississippi as the foundation to write the region’s mapguide to commemorate the Civil War 150. Designed to encourage visitors to explore Appalachia to better understand the war and its impact on the region, the Mapguide was inserted into the April 2012 American Heritage magazine, distributed at state welcome centers and promoted via the ARC website, Other ARC projects include authoring and editing two mapguides (one on scenic drives) for ARC in partnership with National Geographic.
